JAPON 2009

The land of rising sun, with its uncommon traditions and cultures to the west was an incredible discovery under a scorching airless humid weather. The lifestyle and leisure’s which consisted mainly in: Pachinko (gabbling game machines) golf, baseball, karaoke and girl’s cafĂ© (for businessman or manga fanatic) was cultural bombshell. The predominantly clash was the language barrier: Le Routard for Japan was a big liar; all the Japanese do not speak English.

The Japanese ameliorate everything from the west, such as the Donuts and the French pancake that are mouth-watering the moment you lay eyes on them. They are not just stuffed with jam, sugar or Nutella.

The restaurant, shopping (tokyu hands, loft) and expositions: Ghibli museum, Mary Blair, Gomi Taro and Osamu Tezuka Manga Museum, Street and towns: Tokyo “fish Market”, Shibuya, Osaka” America Meru”, Kyoto “ Gion Town” Bepuu” monkey mountain and the hot spring”, Miyagima “ Kill the deer’s” , Tokushima “Awa Odori” and Mt Fuji summit and Onsen were fascinating.

Annecy Animation festival 2009

Annecy International animation festival was the best fest experience I have had so far. There were really great films in competition there as well as independent films.

  1. Les trois bridgands
  2. La vie a 9.99 $
  3. Les Lascards
  4. The Cat piano
  5. L’homme a la Gordini

Most of the Animation film industry people were attending the festival. The MIFA was stunning on top inspiring to see the quality of work of other animation students from around the world. In chorus my confidence was crushed as boosted.

Thank you Joa to have forced me to go there. I had the chance to see LES LASCARDS en avant premiere.

Fall-Death (canvas illustration comic)

we're currently studying the comic book theme and language, which is really interesting.
For this Section, we had to take another person's story and re-illustrated in in our own words or way. This based upon the 99 ways to illustration a comic.
Mine was from a friend how had to illustrate and connect the words: Fall-Death.

I decide to emphasis on the falling part as it was the most interesting section of the story.
