Vancouver Aquariums sketching

 

In January, I had the chance to invite a friend to join me at the Vancouver Aquarium, thanks to a discount I got! I had never been there before because the entry fee is quite steep at $40 for an adult. 

I had an interesting afternoon of sketching! I decided to use my Japanese sketchbook, but the paper was super absorbent, which made painting a bit challenging since the colors tended to blur everywhere. I ended up using an angled watercolor brush to really capture the essence of what I was seeing. I enjoyed it, but I really wished I could have worked on a bigger drawing instead of sticking to my A5 sketchbook!
