Hey there! I decided it was the perfect time to give my watercolor palette a little makeover and added some fantastic new colors from Daniel Smith:

- DS: quinacridone rose

- DS: quinacridone gold (which is awesome for giving my greens some variety)

- DS: quinacridone red oxide

- DS: moon glow

- DS: indigo

**A Few Thoughts on the Strathmore 500 Series Mixed Media Softcover Art Journal (5.5" x 8.5"):**

The journal has several features worth noting.

Cons:The pages do not open fully, preventing them from lying flat for larger compositions. A sturdy clip is necessary to keep the pages in place, as they are quite thick.

Pros: The quality of the paper is notable. Painting on this paper yields vibrant colors, and it absorbs water effectively without the need for pre-washing.
